About us...


   The Bible Players are a Torah Comedy team based out of New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles that are teaching Jewish Values and sweeping the nation! The Bible Players use theater and improv to infuse comedy and laughs into tales from the Torah and beyond. Since founding The Bible Players in 2011, they have toured America from NY to Texas to California, bringing their unique show to thousands of people of all backgrounds and ages, from Pre-K through adults. They've performed in 30 states, and do over 100 programs a year, all while remaining good looking and humble.

     Andrew Davies is a Facilitator, Jewish Educator, and Improv Teacher living in Philadelphia, PA with his wife Molly Wernick and tiny dog Ducky. Andrew received a BA from Brandeis University, has studied Improv comedy at The Magnet Theater, and has a certificate of Facilitation from Georgetown University. He was honored in 2018 with the Jewish Education Project's Young Pioneer Award 

     His new project is CharacTours, an interactive theatrical walking tour where the past visits you. Currently there are four tours including Lower East Side, Harlem, Ellis Island, and New Amsterdam. So join the next CharacTour, meet the past, and have a blast!


     Aaron Friedman, a stand-up comedian who performs for shuls and university Hillels, was named “Funniest Jew in New York” by The Jewish Week. 

     He is a graduate of List College (JTS/Columbia) and in 2018 earned a Masters in Jewish Education from the Davidson School (Jewish Theological Seminary). He also is trainer with Labshul's B-mitzvah program "Raising the Bar" in New York City. 


Lee Cohen

     Lee Cohen is a Los Angeles based actor/singer, artist and History buff. Lee began performing at just 2 years old in the great state of Massachusetts, and has been forced to sing at every family gathering since! He holds a BFA in musical theatre from Montclair State University in New Jersey, and is a proud member of Actor’s equity association. Lee’s passion for playing “civil war” in his backyard as a child has grown into a profession which blends the magic of performance and the many lessons history has to offer.

   Phil is an Actor, Teacher, and Writer hailing from the one and only Fair Lawn NJ! His work spans from the bright lights of Broadway to the slightly less bright lights of a barn! Wherever he finds himself, he is consistently lauded for his ability to bring joy and laughter to all. "Phil Sloves is the most talented person ever" - Phil's Nana

     Sam is an actor and vocalist living in Philadelphia. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with B.A. 's in Theatre and French.

     During college and briefly post college, she was very involved in the Jewish A Cappella scene! Sam also loves writing comedy bits and is one of the founding members of indie sketch comedy group "Hip Replacement".

     When Sam isn't performing, you can find her running, hiking, or exploring craft breweries!

Becca Neckritz

   David is a Jewish Educator who's been involved in the world of making Jewish learning interactive for over eight years. As a graduate of Ramah Poconos, The Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, and a mish mosh of other joyful Jewish experiences, David brings humanized learning and a dose of laughter to everything he does. David is currently residing in Chicago, IL and probably eating ice cream.

Ian Federgreen

     Becca is an actor and teaching artist currently based in Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Temple University! Becca taught musical theatre at the 2021 Bolshoi Ballet Summer Intensive, teaches dance parties for kids at ZoomDance, and worked as a Jewish educator at Camp Galil. She also does social media management and runs a food page- follow along at @PhillyFoodLadies!

Dahlya Glick


     Ian Federgreen has performed as an actor, improviser, comedian, and magician. He's played numerous characters in New York's long-running interactive comedy Accomplice, and just one character in the off-Broadway murder mystery Truffles. Since it's closed now, he can tell you he didn't do it. Frequently seen on stage, Ian has played notable fictional Jews in Rumors, City of Angels, and Play It Again, Sam.

     Dahlya Glick (they/them) is a Los Angeles based singer, dancer, actor, improviser, writer, and musician. They have been working in theater education, TV, Film, and musical theater for years and are a proud performer with Story Pirates and teacher with Theatre 31. They are excited to bring the universal themes of humor and collaboration through Judaism to a temple near you!

     SAMANTHA TURRET  is an actor, voice actor, teacher and host in Los Angeles, CA. She's best known for her role as Ms Jingles on Nickelodeon's TOP ELF. She can also be seen in SATURDAY MORNING ALL-STAR HITS! (Netflix), MTV DECODED (MTV), BAE OR BAIL (A&E), and more.

     Her voice can be heard on the radio and in video games like SMASH LEGENDS and ETERNAL RETURN. She's been coaching and teaching improv and acting for over 10 years and LOVES it.

Alison Ormsby

     Alison is currently a Philadelphia-based actor, devisor, and teaching artist. She is a recent graduate from the University of the Arts where she received her BFA in Acting. She spent a semester at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (NTI Fall 2018), and aims to focus on performance collaboration through joy and enthusiasm! Recent credits include: This Is On Record (Applied Mechanics) and Ready Steady Yeti Go (Azuka).
